Wallet is an online storage space for managing your digital assets. You must have a wallet to use all and any of the MapleStory Universe services.
Key features
Store your assets : Items and currencies you obtain in the game can be minted and stored in your wallet as NFTs and FTs.
Full ownership : The assets in your wallet belong to you, and no one else, including NEXPACE, can access or change them.
Trade and transfer : You can buy, sell, swap, and bridge tokens with your wallet.
Wallet signature
A wallet signature is how you approve an action with your wallet. Most actions on the MapleStory Universe website require your wallet signature, including:
Logging in
Transferring NFTs and FTs
Buying and selling on MSU Marketplace
If you don’t complete the signature in your wallet, the action won’t go through.Due to the nature of blockchain technology, transactions and other on-chain activities cannot be reversed once they have been completed, and we are unable to help reverse them. We recommend you to always check the details before you sign to make sure it’s the action you intend to proceed with.
※ Please keep your private keys, Secret Recovery Phrase, and PIN code in a place only you can access to prevent security issues.
※ Please note that wallets connected through MetaMask and Web3Auth are self-custodial. If you lose your private keys, Secret Recovery Phrase, or PIN code, NEXPACE and the wallet providers cannot restore them or recover your assets.

How is a wallet created?
When you sign up for MapleStory Universe, a wallet is linked to your MSU account, and that wallet becomes your account. How you get your wallet depends on how you sign up.
Option A. Signing up with a social account (Web3Auth)
Click Connect at the top right of the MSU website.
Select Google, X, or Apple and log in.
Complete the signature request.
A Web3Auth wallet (address) will be created automatically and linked to your MSU account, and you can start using the service right away. You can access the same wallet from any device as long as you can log in to that social account.
Option B. Signing up with MetaMask
If you don’t have a MetaMask wallet yet, create one first:
Install the MetaMask extension.
Click Create Wallet and set a password.
Set up your Secret Recovery Phrase and confirm it in the correct order.

If you have a MetaMask Wallet already or completed creating one, then connect it to MSU:
Click Connect at the top right of the MSU website.
Select MetaMask.
Sign the request to complete the connection.
※ Please note that your MSU account is tied to the MetaMask wallet you connected, and your MSU wallet address is the same as your MetaMask wallet address. If you connect a different MetaMask wallet or account, you may log in to a different MSU account.
