If access is restricted due to a policy violation, special support such as shortening the restriction period cannot be provided.

To prevent the misuse of unauthorized programs, specific details about the program used are not disclosed. Thank you for your understanding.

MapleStory N monitors abnormal gameplay behavior in accordance with its operation policies. Beyond the use of explicit hacks or macros, certain behaviors are strongly discouraged.

Below is a detailed guide on what constitutes discouraged gameplay and how such behavior is monitored.

1. Discouraged Gameplay

MapleStory N is intended to be played as a standalone client. 

Running abnormal programs alongside MapleStory N or tampering with PC or network data may prevent proper gameplay logging and is treated as an attempt to bypass detection.

If you engage in the following behaviors, it may be considered use of unauthorized programs, so we strongly advise against them:

1. Playing on a wallet account that belongs to someone else

2. Accessing or playing via remote control programs

3. Running multiple clients simultaneously (including those launched via OS-level features)

4. Using software/devices to monitor and control multiple PCs or wallets simultaneously

5. Accessing or playing using spoofing tools (e.g., IP/MAC address spoofing, virtual hardware)

6. Using hardware/software that enables macro or repeated input functions (e.g., special keyboards, mouses, joysticks, controllers)

7. Launching or playing the game alongside unofficial/unsupported programs

8. Running illegal programs used in other games while playing MapleStory N

9. Repeatedly failing the in-game security systems (e.g., Lie Detector)

10. Farming in-game currency or items using multiple wallets on the same IP/device for personal gain

* Accounts using system information flagged for abnormal activity may be treated as belonging to the same user

11. Any other repetitive gameplay pattern that significantly deviates from normal play behavior

※ Running non-game related apps (e.g., music/video players) will not be flagged as abnormal programs.

※ Any software used to open or modify the MapleStory N client or resources is subject to restriction regardless of actual usage.

※ If new forms of unsupported behavior are identified, this document will be updated continuously.

2. Monitoring Criteria and Methods

If unauthorized programs or abnormal patterns are detected, game restrictions may be applied based on the following criteria:

* Repeated use of unsupported gameplay practices

* Activity patterns that significantly deviate from those of most Maplers

※ Monitoring includes not only recent activity but also up to 90 days of past gameplay records. Thus, the date of restriction may not align with the date of violation.

※ If multiple policy violations are detected, the most severe violation will determine the penalty. 

Please follow the procedure below to reboot the MetaMask wallet extension and try connecting again:

1. Click the Extension button
   • 
2. Click the three-dot button on the right side of MetaMask
   • 
3. Click Manage Extension
4. Disable the blue-active button and reactivate to turn MetaMask extension back on
5. Try connecting to MapleStory Universe Web again.

To enjoy the full features of MapleStory Universe Web, you will need to connect your wallet to your account.

Please follow the steps below to connect your wallet to MapleStory Universe services!

MetaMask

1. Click Connect wallet.
2. Click Continue with MetaMask.
3. Sign and complete the linking procedure step by step.

Using Web3Auth

1. Click the [Connect] button at the top-right corner of the MSU website.
2. Choose Google, X, or Apple.
3. After logging in and completing the signature, your Web3Auth wallet will be created and linked automatically.

Email verification code delivery may be affected by domain-specific issue.

If you experience delays in receiving an email with the verification code during the account registration process, please use an email with a different domain and try again.

After you complete the account registration, you may freely change the connected email address in [My Page > Settings].

Click on the profile picture, go to [Settings] – [Email Address], then click [Change] to verify the Mapler account's email address.

Wallet is an online storage solution where you can store and manage your digital assets. To use all services of MapleStory Universe, you must have a wallet.

The Importance of Wallet

• Asset Storage: Items and currencies obtained in the game can be minted and stored in your wallet.
• Ownership: All items and currencies stored in your wallet are your unique assets. No external party, including NEXPACE, can alter or damage the assets within your wallet.
• Functionality: Wallets offer various functions, including token purchases, sales, swaps, and bridges.

MetaMask (Self-custodial wallet)

• MetaMask is a self-custodial wallet, which lets users have control of the private keys.
• The company (NEXPACE), the wallet service provider (MetaMask), or any other entity cannot access the user's wallet and its assets.
• As long as the recovery phrase and private key are safely stored, the user can access their assets in the wallet anytime, anywhere.

Web3Auth Wallet

• Web3Auth is a non-custodial wallet that you can create instantly using your social accounts (Google, X, Apple).
• As long as you can access your social account, you can use the same wallet anytime and on any device.
• The company(NEXPACE), the wallet service provider(Web3Auth), or any other entity cannot access the Mapler's wallet and its assets.

Important Information

For any transaction involving NFTs or FTs, your wallet signature is required. Without your wallet signature, no transactions can be processed. Always ensure to sign with your wallet when trading items.

※ Always double-check the transactions before you sign to make sure it is the transaction you intend to proceed with.

Do you want to check your wallet address?

Follow the guide below to learn two different ways to check your wallet address. 

1. On MapleStory Universe Web

1. On the website, click the [Connect] button and log in with MetaMask or your social account.
2. Once you successfully log in, click your Account profile on the top-right corner of the website.
3. Click your wallet address below your Account name to copy it.

2. Through Wallet Extension

MetaMask

1. Open the MetaMask extension in your browser. 

2. Click your wallet address below your Account name to copy it for your use.

Web3Auth

1. On the website, click the [Connect] button and log in with your social account.

2. Once you successfully log in, click your Account profile on the top-right corner of the website.

3. Click [My Wallet] to open the wallet interface. 

4. Click the External Link icon to view your Web3Auth dashboard in a new tab.

You can still log in with MetaMask even if the browser extension isn’t available in your environment.

Simply use your mobile MetaMask app to scan a QR code.

1. Click the [Connect] button.

2. Select All Wallets in the login window.

3. Choose WalletConnect.

4. Scan the QR code with the MetaMask mobile app and complete the login.

If you do not have the MetaMask mobile app;

• Download the MetaMask mobile app from the App Store or Google Play.
• Open the app and import the wallet you want to use for MapleStory Universe (using your Secret Recovery Phrase or Private key).
• Once your wallet is imported, use the MetaMask mobile app to scan the QR code shown on the website.

After scanning, the login will be completed through your mobile MetaMask app.

※ No entity can restore your private keys and/or Secret Recovery Phrase.

※ No entity can restore the asset loss caused by losing your private keys and/or Secret Recovery Phrase.

In the event of wallet hacking, we will not be able to assist you.

Wallet services connected to MapleStory Universe(MetaMask and Web3Auth) operate independently and cannot be assessed by the game company(NEXPACE).
