Dynamic Pricing is MapleStory N’s unique equipment enhancement system where enhancement costs are dynamically determined based on real-time player demand, rather than having fixed prices.
The detailed principles determining the enhancement costs are as follows:
- Real-Time Demand Reflection
- If a specific enhancement target experiences high participation, the cost will automatically rise. Conversely, if demand is low, the cost will gradually decrease.
- If a specific enhancement target experiences high participation, the cost will automatically rise. Conversely, if demand is low, the cost will gradually decrease.
- Daily Base Price Update
- Based on recent enhancement activity, the Base Price for each enhancement target is newly updated at 00:00(UTC) every day. Intraday prices will fluctuate dynamically, centering around this updated Base Price.
- For items or enhancement targets with no prior pricing history, the initial Base Price will be established once the initial player activity data is successfully aggregated.
- Price Hierarchy Correction
- A price correction is applied to prevent the enhancement cost of a higher-tierfrom dropping below that of a lower-tier.
- All equipment in MapleStory N is systematically linked based on Required Equip Level, Part, and Enhancement Tier. Consequently, a price correction may be automatically applied during the daily update—even if there was no direct enhancement demand or attempts for that specific item.
- Price Volatility Safeguard
- Even if there is a sudden, massive surge in enhancement attempts within a short period, a safeguard limits the maximum price fluctuation allowed within a single day to prevent sudden price spikes or disproportionate, long-term inflation.
